FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. Images.  The images on the product pages are representative only.  There will be minor changes and/or differences in the shipped product due to construction materials and components, stain choices, etc.

2. Payment. All Financial transactions will be conducted via PayPal.  If you don't yet have a PayPal account, it's free and easy to set one up and it's totally secure.

3. Deposit. All my speakers are custom - made to your specifications.  As such, I have to make a significant expenditure to order your parts and case materials, so I need to be certain of your commitment to the purchase. If you change your mind during the construction phase, I may be stuck with a unit I cannot sell at full price.  Therefore, I require an approx. 20% deposit up front with your order, the balance due upon shipping. Details are on the order form.

4. Guarantee. I offer a full guarantee.  If you are not 100% satisfied with your product, just let me know and I will refund your money in full within 30 days of your purchase - less S&H fees - once you return it to me in its original condition as shipped. If you have a failure of the product within one year of purchase, contact me to discuss options. I promise to treat you fairly.

5. Lead Time.  I can usually turn around an order in 2-3 weeks.  However, if circumstances prohibit this, I will inform you at the outset of the contract.

6. Shipping. I will ship anywhere in Canada. If you wish to place an order from the USA, please contact me via the form below, and we'll see if we can work something out.  However, there are some things to note:

   1. It is against regulations to ship ni-cad batteries by air now.  Therefore, any shipment to the USA or to Canadian locations remote from southern Ontario, will NOT have the batteries included. Sorry! They are standard AA size rechargeables available anywhere.  Four are required. I will provide installation instructions - all you will need is a screw driver.

   2. My speakers are HEAVY.  They are not cheap plastic, but typically solid wood, or wood-veneered Baltic Birch plywood.  The drivers have metal frames and heavy magnets and the power supply is over-sized. Accordingly, expect shipping rates to be higher than expected.

   3. I will quote the Shipping and Handling fee once the order is placed.

   4. I am fine with local pickup at my house in North Oshawa, Ontario if you would prefer that.
